Race Bike Insurance

Recommended Posts

Tried searching the forum for recommendations for race bike insurance, but all the posts I've found are very old.

I'm looking for theft/fire cover whilst in my garage or in transit or paddock.

I've tried Bemoto, who although fairly reasonable are in the process of changing their underwriter, or something, and can't cover me at the moment. Said it could take a week to sort out!

I'm looking for something rather quicker than that. Any suggestions?

I've been using Ryan Motorsport Insurance for Storage and Transport cover for a few years now:

Thankfully haven't had to use them but always take loads of photos of your bike with all the spares etc it also covers you for loss of tools and equipment if your storage is broken into.

Tried a few so far, no joy. When Bemoto eventually sorted out their underwriter, their premium jumped by about 120%! Still looking althouth the bike is with the tuner at the moment so I have a bit of time to shop around.

DO NOT USE MORIS under no circumstances, he is a rogue trader....

I use Locktons..

Can you elaborate on that please as I use them ?

Have never had to make a claim, but all seemed ok (although it would as they were taking my money)
