Brembo Discs Question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a question that hopefully someone can help with.

I have a ZX10R, which when I bough it cam with Brembo Supersport discs (or as I was told), and I have now bought a set of BST which also have discs on (Serie Oro) perhaps.

How can I tell what the disc are ?

They have the following on them:

KBA 61193 - which I think are the Supersport discs which are classed as an upgrade

KBA 61219 - which I think are are the Serie Oro ones and are badged as OEM replacement discs

If I am right on the above, which are the best ones to keep on the bike ?

Thanks for any advice

Andy

The 61193 are HPK and are an approved Superstock disc from what I know. The ZX10 I bought had these on both sets of wheels and it was an ex-superstock bike. These will be better that the serie oro discs which again from what I know are not race discs but OEM replacement as you mention. I think it goes something like this with the Brembo discs.

Serie Oro

Clubman

HPK

Superbike

You can normally tell which is which from what the disc and carrier looks like. I would be staying with the 61193 if it was me

Just so you know... The carriers don't always tell the story...

The UK importer does get his own carriers manufactured here in the UK, and mounts HPK disks on them...
