THIS BIKE HAS ONLY COVERED A GENUINE 1690 MILES FROM NEW. 1550 ISH OF THOSE ON THE ROAD.SO JUST RAN IN BASICALLY. ONE QUICK LOOK ROUND IT AND YOU WILL SOON REALISE THIS IS GENUINE. THE ROAD BODYWORK WAS DAMAGED IN A LOW SPEED ACCIDENT AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER ONLY HAD THIRD PARTY INSURANCE SO IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE HPI REGISTER AS DAMAGED, I HAVE AN HPI CERTIFICATE WITH IT TO PROVE THIS, IT HAS A V5 IN MY NAME ON SORN AND ALL THE PARTS YOU WOULD WANT TO PUT IT BACK ON THE ROAD AS A ROAD LEGAL TRACK BIKE WITH IT, SEE IMAGES.WIRING LOOM STILL IN PLACE.ALSO FRONT BRAKE STOP SWITCH AND CLUTCH SAFETY SWITCH IN PLACE,YOU WOULD NEED TO HOOK UP A BANJO PRESSURE REAR BRAKE SWITCH FOR THE REARSETS THOUGH. ALL CHASSIS/CHASSIS PLATES/ENGINE NUMBERS PRESENT AND CORRECT. I HAVE THE HAND BOOKS, SERVICE BOOK LAST STAMPED UP AT 790 MILES BY CHISWICK HONDA. I HAVE SPENT CONSIDERABLE TIME AND MONEY ON IT TO MAKE IT REALLY NICE I FEEL IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT BASIS FOR A PURE ROADS RACE BIKE, SHORT CIRCUIT OR MANY TRACK DAYS TO GO.ROAD LEGAL TRACK BIKE ON DAYTIME MOT. SPEC- LATER STYLE EX WSS QUICK RELEASE BODYWORK.REINFORCED WITH KEVLAR AND LIGHT.(THIS HAS THE ODD SCUFF ON JUST AS IT CAME SECOND HAND FROM THE RACE TEAM,THIS BIKE HAS NOT BEEN CRASHED ON TRACK..YET!) TO RACE IT IN THE UK I THINK YOU WILL NEED TO RIG UP A RAIN LIGHT AND BUY A FRONT BRAKE LEVER GUARD OTHER THAN THAT IT SHOULD GO STRAIGHT THROUGH SCRUTINEERING. I CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER WITH MOTUL LESS THAN 200 MILES AGO, STRIPPED AND SERVICED ALL THE BRAKE CALIPERS, CHANGED FLUID. FANTASTIC BIKE, TYPICAL HONDA BUILD QUALITY WITH MANY THOUSANDS OF MILES OF FUN LEFT IN IT. PROVIDING I GET A FAIR PRICE IT COMES WITH A FEW ROAD BITS AND SPARES- PAIR OF GOOD PART WORN FULL RACE WET BRIDGESTOME TYRES. 1 X GOOD PART WORN DUNLOP FRONT SLICK TYRE. LIKELY A GOOD TIME TO BUY A NICE LATE ONE OF THESE IF YOU’RE A HONDA FAN AS THEY HAVE NOW STOPPED MAKING THEM.SHOULD HOLD ITS VALUE WELL IF YOU LOOK AFTER IT.     2006 R6 Advice

    That does not sound too good Im afraid ! I could well be wrong and hope I am but was it left running on its side for a bit? I have seen that happen before and what happens is the oil pump cannot pick up oil and can knacker the big ends,main bearings ! If this is the case then don't ride or run it,get the motor stripped and rebuilt now before it blows up and cost a whole lot more. Its hard to say for sure though without listening to it,maybe take it to a freindly dealer and let there technician have a listen? Or maybe someone else will be along with a less serious conclusion..? Cheers.
