  1. Hi building a standard R6 and after rear Mudguard and reflector bracket. Has anyone got one stashed in the garage that they want to sell.
  2. Are wheels 17"? Would you sell a set?
  3. Thanks but I am a pretty experience passenger Having done British and World championship races. I was just interested why at Bemsee rounds I have trouble with gloves. at 46 years old I am sure I am old enough to make a decision on what gloves to wear That also in my view also conform to the ACU regulations.
  4. But back protectors aren't mandatory. I know a fair few people who don't wear them.
  5. I will find a picture of the gloves in use tomorrow as I,m off to work now
  6. Well that's not how this reads to me. It makes no mention of any other areas other than boots. 5. Competitors footwear must be of leather or an approved substitute material and of a minimum height of 200mm to provide, with the suit, complete protection (i.e. no exposed areas.)
  7. I understand that but trying to get comfortable on a sidecar is not the easiest thing and finding the right gloves that work well is difficult and a personal choice. So what if there is a 10mm gap between glove and leathers. What about leathers with large collars to ensure the neck is covered up??
  8. Ireland not Island!!
  9. Where abouts does it say that? It dosent mention anything about exposed skin Like it does it the regulations concerning boot to leathers 14.1 P ROTECTIVE CLOTHING During practice and racing riders and passengers must wear the following clothing and footwear: 1. A complete all in one leather suit of at least 1.2mm in thickness on all parts of the suit. Suits 298 ROAD RACING AUTO CYCLE UNION HANDBOOK 2015 zipped together at the waist are not permitted. Non-leather material may be used if it meets with the following requirements. 2. The following characteristics of the material must be at least equivalent to 1.5mm of cowhide (not split leather) Fire retardant quality – Resistance to abrasion – Coefficient of friction against all types of asphalt – perspiration absorbing qualities – Medical test – non toxic and non allergenic – Fabric of a quality that does not melt. It must be non-flammable. 3. The following areas must be padded with at least a double layer of leather or enclosed plastic foam at least 8mm thick: Shoulders, elbows, both sides of the torso and hip joint, the back of the torso, knees.
  10. If you ever go over and race in island it has to be less than two years old.
  11. When I was at cadwell recently I was told I couldn't wear my short Leather gloves as there would be a small bit of skin exposed. When I asked why I was told its in the ACU regulations book. Well having never seen it before when reading it I had another look. And I still can't find any mention of it. Only bit I can see about exposed skin is below and about boots not gloves. I wondered if one of the Technical officials could show me where it is stated in the regs Thanks 3.
