My great mate, Dave Shelvey, damaged his hand last week at work, when he
dropped a car cylinder head on his hand.
He had an operation to put it all back together and given some nice drugs.
Dave (and Pit Chick) were supposed to be helping their Novices at Snett last weekend and
not put off by the injury, hitched up the caravan and spent a frustrating weekend (as he couldnt ride)
with his friends in sunny Norfolk.
Whats worse is that Dave, cannot take part at Brands either, as the doctors have said "dont be silly" or words to that effect.
Dave lives for his racing and manages to do it on a tiny budget (same bike for ten years, tyres last all
weekend etc etc.) Despite this he loves his racing and managed to win the BMCRC Supersport 600 Championship in 2011.
Here hoping that Dave makes a full recovery in the handlebar holding, throttle twisting and braking department of his right hand and look forward to supporting him and Claire at Brands in the near future.

I hadn't realised this. I hope you're okay Dave xx

Judging by the results from Pembrey, Dave is back on the case again.
Well done Dave.
