He has a broken left tib & fib and his left collarbone is broken. He should have the leg pinned tomorrow according to the Doctor. They are also a little concerned about blood in his urine and some bruising around his kidney and they will look into that problem in the morning.
By strange coincidence I arrived at the scene just as the ambulance did, seeing several stopped vehicles I put on my responder hi-viz and went over to offer my assistance, I introduced myself, looked down at the casualty and saw that it was Alex. Still we got a nice ride in the back of the ambulance with a Police escort.
Absolutely fantastic service from the two sets of ambulance crew, the Police and the A&E staff, too many people knock the NHS but they were all brilliant.
So it looks like we will be short of a flag marshal for a while.
