Derby Phoenix are back at their local circuit Cadwell Park on the 3rd/4th July for their fifth meeting of the season. The highlight of the meeting will be Sunday’s Allcomers race for the Newbold trophy; the club’s most prestigious race. The race has been held each year in memory of John Newbold a member of the club who went on to race 500 GP machines as Barry Sheene’s team mate at Heron Suzuki. Along with the Newbold the club has a full programme of its usual classes - 1000, F600, Super Stock 600, Pre-Injection 600, Steel frame 600, F400, Thunderbikes, Mini-Thunderbikes and Sidecars. The Newbold should be a corker Bellworthy v Crowe arguably the two fastest club racers in the country.

I have already booked my seat :D
